The backstory
In March of 2021, one month after my debut album release show, my sensei Jurell called me up and said, “So when are you starting your own music festival?” I laughed.
He goes, “What? You practically just did it for your release show. You just need to book more bands.”
A few days later my parents and I went out to dinner and I told them about my conversation with Jurell.
“I’d have to find a location, but I think by 2022 I could probably pull off something grassroots.” I said.
My dad’s eyes lit up. “Let’s do it at home! On our property! This year!”
“Hell yeah!” my mom said already reaching for a napkin and pen.

What an incredible feeling to watch something bloom from an idea on a napkin to a real, in-person experience in just five months.
